Hallo liebe Freunde von OpenSlides,

heute haben wir die erste Beta-Version für die kommende OpenSlides 2.0
veröffentlicht. Diese Version dient zum Ausprobieren und ist noch nicht
für den produktiven Einsatz geeignet! Version 2.0b1 gibt es hier zum
Download:

OpenSlides 2.0 wird umfangreiche Neuerungen bringen, die es in dieser
ersten Beta-Version bereits zum Ausprobieren gibt, zum Beispiel:
- Umbau zu einer Single Page Application (mit AngularJS).
- Automatische Aktualisierung aller Seiten!
- Neues Design für das Webinterface (mit neuem OpenSlides-Logo).
- Neue ausklappbare Projektor-Seitenleiste ersetzt das Dashboard.
- REST-API für alle OpenSlides-Apps.
- Aktualisierung der unterstützten Python-Version auf >= 3.3.
- Umfangreiche Aufräumarbeiten (u. a. am Start-Skript).
- u. v. m.

Noch offen (fehlend) in dieser Version:
- Korrekte Prüfung der Nutzerrechte.
- Steuerung von PDF-Präsentationen auf dem Projektor.
- Volltextsuche.
- Weitere Übersetzungen (bisher nur EN, DE, teilweise FR).
- Plugin-Anbindung.

Eine 2. Beta-Version ist für Mitte Januar 2016 (nach unserem Code Sprint
Meeting) geplant. Die stabile OpenSlides 2.0 soll Mitte Februar
veröffentlicht werden.

Bis dahin sind wir sind dankbar für jede Rückmeldung – entweder an die
Mailingliste oder als Issue bei GitHub [2].

Dear friends of OpenSlides,

today the first beta for the upcoming OpenSlides 2.0 is published. This
version is still for testing only and is not ready for production use!
You can download version 2.0b1 here:

http://openslides.org/de/download/

OpenSlides 2.0 will bring a lot of substantial innovations which can be
tested in this first beta version. Some of these new features are:
- Changed to a single page application (with AngularJS).
- Auto update for all pages!
- New design and layout for backend (with new OpenSlides logo).
- New collapsed projector sidebar replaces dashboard.
- REST-API for all OpenSlides apps.
- Changed the supported Python version to >= 3.3.
- A lot of cleaning-up operations (e. g. start script).
- ...

Still open (missing) in this version:
- Correct check of user permissions.
- Control of PDF presentation on projector.
- Full text search.
- More translations (EN, DE and parts of FR available).
- Plugin interface.

A second beta is scheduled for January 2016 (after our code sprint
meeting). OpenSlides 2.0 stable will be published in February 2016.
